Chicago Trip
We went to Chicago with mom, Heather & Isabella, my sister-in-law Elisabeth and her daughter Heather, and my sister-in-law Jennifer and her daughter Alyssa. We had such an amazing trip! The main purpose was for the little girls to go to the American Girl doll store and pick out their doll for Christmas and an outfit for them too! This was all their Papaw's idea (Arles). Then we went to the American Girl dinner and ate with our new dollies. The girls had so much fun! We also got to do some shopping and catch the Thanskgiving parade. It was so cold the night of the parade and Tessa hated it but Isabella loved it! Mickey & Minnie were there with a bunch of other characters. The little girls did really well for their first airplane ride. I on the other hand almost lost it going there but did better (thanks to Dramamine) on the way home. All in all it was a great trip and we all had so much fun! Thank you GiGi and Papaw for such a nice trip! We love you guys!

My Babies--The Things I Love
It still surprises me to say babies...I have two children and I feel so blessed! I told Heather the other day that I have this mental list of things that I love about both of my little ones at the ages they are currently. Tessa will be three March 9th and Harrison is 2 months old. Tessa weighs 26 pounds right now and Harrison weighs 12.8 pounds and is 23 inches long! The obvious things I am so thankful for is my God who has blessed me beyond measure, my wonderful husband who I adore and who loves me unconditionally, my two healthy children who amaze me everyday, a mother who blows me away with her generous spirit, a sister who is always there, a home that I love, and friends that mean the world to me. Now my babies:
1. That Harrison smells just like his daddy.
2. That Tessa is an independent leader.
3. When Tessa turns the light off in my bathroom, while I am taking a shower, and she cannot stop laughing because she thinks it is so funny!
4. That Harrison will calm down just by me whispering in his ear and rubbing his tiny little face.
5. That my kids will be raised by a God fearing man who loves the Lord.
6. That my children have the best grandparents in the world!
7. That my kids have each other forever and ever!
8. That Tessa calls me Amanda when she is mad at me.
9. That Tessa tells me not to see her when she is doing something she shouldn't!
10. That both of my babies love their mommy!
11. When Harrison tries to smile and talk to me while he is eating...too precious!
12. That Harrison smiles during his baths and Tessa is screaming during hers!
13. That Harrison sleeps 10 hours at night and loves to be right up next to his mommy in my bed!
14. That Tessa thinks Harrison is really really cute...as she would say!
15. That Tessa wants to love on me and give me kisses in the morning.
16. That Tessa asks when daddy will be home everyday because she wants him to play cars with her before dinner.
17. That Harrison snuggles his face in my neck and goes to sleep.
18. That Tessa talks to her stuffed animals in the morning and lets me hear her conversations over the monitor.
19. That Tessa loves to sing.
20. That both of my babies will have me as their mommy...I hope I can be the best mommy ever for them!

Playdate At Greenbrier Park
Last week we met some friends at the new Greenbrier park for a play date. The weather was beautiful and the kids were dying to be outside in the sunshine! Mom also came and brought Isabella...Tessa's favorite playmate! Harrison slept most of the time and was so good as usual! The big kids played volleyball while the little ones ran around playing with the leaves on the ground and following each other everywhere! It was so much fun! In one of the photos of Tessa you can see her holding a yellow box with handles. This is great because it holds juice boxes without spilling from being squeezed too hard. Tessa still hasn't mastered that yet and I found this at Babies-R-Us. I thought this might be helpful to some of you mommies out there with toddlers!

Halloween 2008--Minnie Mouse It Is!
Tessa ended up choosing Minnie Mouse over the Cheerleader costume! Yeah! In a previous blog I wrote about how she hates to dress up in costumes and refuses to wear them. Well, she decided to be Minnie Mouse and did not fuss at all! The ears did come off during the trick or treating but she didn't complain about the costume once! Harrison wore his Halloween jammies. Went to our friends house, Brock & Cynthia Brewer, and let the kids play, eat, and trick or treat in their neighborhood. It was so much fun! There were five families there and fifteen kids! Tessa has never actually gone door to door to trick or treat before and she did so good! She was afraid of some of the costumes and decorations but as long as daddy was there beside her she was good! She loved getting to go to the houses and get candy in her bag! We stayed with Cam & Jessica who have Molly, Camden, and Maggie. Tessa and Camden are best buddies and are so cute together! Here are some pictures from our night.

Pumpkin Patch
Greg and I took Tessa to the pumpkin patch this morning while Harrison stayed at home with GiGi. It was too windy and too cold for me to feel comfortable about taking him. Thanks mom! We took Tessa last year and she cried and screamed the whole time we were there. This year she did great and had so much fun! We went with alot of our friends and had a wonderful time! Here are some pictures from our day! There is one of Tessa and her friend Camden. They are in school together and we also see them at church. They are so cute together!
