Harrison's Arrival

Our little boy is nine days old! I cannot believe how fast the time goes! Last Friday came so fast! It was like it just rushed upon us and we were being led into the operating room. Everything went really well through the surgery and Harrison was absolutely perfect! There were no signs of heart trouble or a cleft lip. Praise God for a healthy baby! The rest of the recovery time was pretty eventful and I felt great but as I was being taken to my post partum room I realized that the anesthesia had made me very dizzy and nauseated. I had to lay flat on my back the rest of the night or I would start spinning. After throwing up numerous times (ouch!) and four medications in my IV later, they realized that they had to try a new medication that was a drip into my IV to reverse the spinal side effects. This did the trick and around midnight I started to feel more like myself!

Tessa did great with Harrison! She loved him immediately but she wasn't quite sure why her mommy was in a bed with all of these weird things in her arms!My mom took such great care of her and we didn't have to worry about her once! Thanks mom for being such an angel and taking care of Tessa! We love and appreciate you so much!

We have been home now since Monday afternoon and have started to settle in as a family of four! Greg and I are still trying to get used to juggling the two different children with different needs but I think we are doing a pretty good job! Harrison is such a good baby. Our first night home he slept for 5 1/2 hours! He averages about 3 to 4 hours at a time right now. He seems very calm and laid back...much different from our little princess! I remember this time with Tessa being so much harder than it is now. I think it is because this is our second time around and we have already done it once before!

Greg goes back to work tomorrow and I cannot tell you how much I will miss him! He has been so wonderful taking care of me and Tessa and Harrison! We will miss him terribly. Say a little prayer for us as he goes back to work and I am left to man down the fort while he is away! Mom is going to help me as much as she can and I am so grateful! Her life is consumed by children and grandchildren right now and I am so thankful for her willingness to help!

I am posting a few pictures below and I will post more later!

Baby Harrison Update

Tonight will be our last baby update because we are going to get to meet our son tomorrow! We are excited and a bit nervous but we cannot wait to see what Harrison looks like. We are as prepared as we can get and we are ready for whatever tomorrow may bring. Mom will have Tessa while we are at the hospital so please say a prayer for her while she takes care of our little girl. We will post some pictures as soon as we can! Thank you all in advance for your prayers for our family!

Harrison's Room

When deciding how to decorate our little boys room Greg made the ultimate decision to have his room done in trains. I asked my friend Regina to paint a wall mural in Harrison's room. We decided on a train with clouds and a bible verse that we all love! The bible verse is Proverbs 22:6. Regina also painted Tessa's room when we were getting it ready! She does an amazing job and I wanted to show off her skills!

Baby Harrison Update

I went to my last scheduled Dr. appointment today. Everything is still normal and he seems to be pretty content to stay in mommy's tummy until my scheduled c-section this Friday! I am not dilated and he has not dropped. This is a praise because I am a planner and I have things written out to take care of each day until Friday comes. I like to be organized and have all of my to do lists completed! As it gets closer to time for the surgery I am feeling a little bit nervous so please say a prayer for us that we will enjoy this time and not be apprehensive or scared! Thank you for your continued prayers!

Picture Day

Tessa had her picture taken at school this Thursday. Her teachers said she did really well and I hope they turn out good! I took some pictures of her myself before and after school. Thanks Grammy for my outfit! I love it!

Disney On Ice

We went to Disney On Ice last Sunday with our friends Cam & Jessica and their three children Maggie, Camden, & Molly. This was Tessa's first show like this to go to and she has so much fun! She was afraid of the Lion King section but other than that she did really well!

Baby Harrison Update

Harrison is scheduled to be here in eight days! We are getting really excited to see what our little boy looks like! I have been having a thousand thoughts run through my mind lately. This is part of the reason I have not been sleeping! I am scared, nervous, anxious, happy, blessed, and all of the other feelings that go along with having a child! Greg and I are so grateful to God to have blessed us with our family! We cannot wait to add our second little one! Tessa is getting excited too. She keeps telling everyone Harrison will be here soon! It is too cute. I go for my last scheduled Dr visit on Tuesday before the c-section---Sep. 26th. Everything is going really good right now and I feel great. I hope he decides to stay in there until his scheduled day! We are as prepared as we can be for his arrival. Please keep us in your prayers and I will update evryone on Tuesday after my visit!
